Introduction
PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is the first mega petrochemical enterprise in Southwest China, jointly invested by PetroChina Company Limited and Chengdu Petrochemical Co., Ltd. with an equity structure of 90%:10%. The facility has a designed production capacity of 800,000 tons/year of ethylene and 10 million tons/year of oil refining. The plant is located in the Industrial Park of Pengzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, covering a total area of 4 km2. The refining project consists of main engineering, utilities, auxiliary engineering, storage and transportation, and environmental protection facilities. The ethylene project comprises eight main units along with auxiliary and utility systems.The Sichuan Petrochemical integration project emphasizes intensive, large-scale, short-process, and low-risk structural advantages. The refining production units adopt an "environmentally friendly all-hydrogen total process flow," while the ethylene unit utilizes the world's most advanced ethylene cracking technology. It can produce ten product series including linear low-density polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene glycol, butanol, octanol, polybutadiene rubber, gasoline, diesel, benzene, and para-xylene. All diesel products meet the Euro IV standard, and gasoline products meet Euro III standards with some achieving Euro IV indicators. The company primarily serves the Southwest China market while radiating to domestic and international markets.
